The Pacific Path program is aimed at preschool, elementary, and secondary school students, as well as their parents. Its implementation therefore represents a “school project” in which all partners participate actively. Together, they contribute to meeting the Pacific Path Institute's mission of preventing violence through the promotion of pacific behaviors.
The two phases of the Pacific Path…
First Phase: Conflict Resolution
The first phase of the program teaches students the basic notions of conflict resolution. Using a variety of workshops, the students learn how to identify the different aspects of conflict and come to recognize the resources within their reach that will help them to resolve conflicts peacefully. As such, the necessary attitudes, abilities, and underlying principles of conflict resolution are explored.

Second Phase: Peer Mediation
The second phase of the program can be implemented once the first phase has been completed. The implementation of a peer mediation service rests on the selection and training of student-mediators within the school. Available upon request or at specified times, such as lunch and recess, the student-mediators help their peers to resolve their conflicts.
