The Pacific Path and parents - program Structure
Training Sessions 1. Awareness Session
Objectives: Present the objectives of the Pacific Path Conflict Resolution workshops to the parents and participation strategies in accordance with the program.
Cost: $300 per session per school
Kilometer and/or lodging fees will be added, when applicable ($0.45/km).
2. Three Training Session Blocks (3 consecutive meetings)
Objectives:Train parents on basic social skills to conflict resolution and on helping their children manage their conflicts.
Length: 2 hours per block
Cost: $950 for all 3 blocks per school
Kilometer and/or lodging fees will be added, when applicable ($0.45/km).
3. Training Workshops (6 individual meetings)
Objective: Train parents on basic social skills to conflict resolution and on managing conflicts. Parents may register for all 6 workshops or as many as they choose depending on their area of interest
Workshop Themes:
Workshop 1. Understanding conflicts in order to intervene more effectively
Workshop 2. Helping my child learn to manage his/her anger
Workshop 3. Helping my child develop better communication and listening skills
Workshop 4. Respect for one self and others (self-esteem and empathy)
Workshop 5. Conflict resolution and possible solutions
Workshop 6. Conflict resolution; possible intervention strategies and mediation as an alternative approach.
Length: 2 hours per workshop
Cost: $325 per workshop per school
