Evaluation of the implementation and effects of the Pacific Path program in preschool
This project is being carried out by the Pacific Path Institute with the collaboration of Julie Vadeboncoeur, a doctorate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal.
The evaluation of the program’s effects on the components of social competence focus on socio-affective and socio-cognitive behavior, conflict management amongst peers and the capacity for problem and conflict resolution.
A total of 10 experimental classes and 10 control classes were recruited.
Preliminary results show a 20% increase in positive behavior between the moment before and that after the intervention. Other analyses will follow. All of these results may be consulted in Mrs. Vadeboncoeur’s* thesis and will be the subject of communiqués.
