  RESEARCH DIVISION

Independent Projects
Student Projects
University Projects
Project with the Canadian Council on Learning

At the Pacific Path Institute, the Research division is dedicated to conflict resolution. It’s goal is to acquire, use and distribute knowledge on conflict resolution.

Its scientific activities cover the three following areas :

  • Fundamental research in conflict resolution,
  • Evaluative research,
  • Applied research.

Research and evaluation have been a priority since the very beginning of the Pacific Path program’s creation in 1993. Since then, many documents including reports, minutes of group meetings, surveys for personnel and students and school assessments have been collected and are proof of intense evaluation activity. Research is now a separate division within the organisation’s structure.

The Pacific Path Institute’s fundamental research principles are the same as those applied in university research. Precision and respect are imperative while choosing methods in all projects. Furthermore, there is considerable collaboration between the Pacific Path Institute and universities (Université de Montréal, Université Paris XIII, Université du Québec).
